All you have to do is march in here, whenever you want, and you can learn a little bit more about the world. This place contains every answer you’d ever need about anything.

Yume is the… library assistant, you think is the best word to define her. She has been here for almost as long as the library existed. The word “smart” cannot really apply to her so asking her questions about dreams would be fruitless, but she’ll know exactly where dream-related books are located.
She’s not here, which probably means she’s sorting bookshelves. You put the (quite heavy) novel book on the counter so you don’t have to carry it around.

You move to the Basic Spellcasting section. The book you need for your Spellweaving project is about visualizing magic streams, so it should be right here. If it isn’t, then it will certainly be in the Natural Magic section.
The book on dreams will probably be located in the Psychology section upstairs. Since you’re not as familiar with that particular subject, you’ll certainly need Yume’s help to pinpoint the book that suits your needs best…

“May this one help you, Miss Whitering ?”
You involuntarily jump away before your brain fully registers who the voice belongs to.
“Twins’ mercy, Yume !” you exclaim. “Are you trying to give me a heart attack ?”
Yume answers in her usual monotone voice. “This one apologizes for scaring you, Miss Whitering. This one assures you that causing cardiac arrest was not this one’s intention.”
You sigh. “No, of course you weren’t. Nevermind. Just, try not to touch me like that without warning next time, alright ?”
“This one understands. This one will avoid physical contact when you are unaware of this one’s presence. May this one ask the reason why you are present in the library after closing hours ?”

Hey guys, Chimaera High is back after an absurdly long hiatus. I want to apologize profusely for the delays, which are due partly to real life getting in the way, and partly to me having terrible scheduling skills.
As I announced here earlier, I stayed at a clinic for 3 weeks, and that put me behind schedule something fierce. Then I attended my brother’s wedding. Then I added a bunch of commissions in the mix to make up for the money I wouldn’t make during that time. CH stayed a secondary priority for a while and kept getting late.
So I decided to change some things. First, as you might have noticed with the smoother anims, I started using Flash. I still have to improve some things, but it helps tremendously when I make anims that are more than 3 frames long. Like that shoulder grab :3 I also added a progress bar on the right, so you can follow my progress on the next page and make sure I’m not actually dead.
I hope you’ll keep enjoying Chimaera High despite the speedbumps. Today, meet Yume ! ^^

I was NOT expecting Yume to be a robot. O_O;; I thought she was a student or something. Is she an assistant? Helper? Who or what is she?
Regardless, you can tell Yume the truth on why you’re there. If Yume is good at keeping secrets, you can tell her the full reason on why you need a book on dreams, should she ask… But only if you feel comfortable being open with her.

Depending on how much of a “paper trail” you want to leave some subtly might be in order. Likely Yume will happily tell anyone with authority who asks ‘this one’ what searches were done and by whom. So asking for a specific book may draw attention later, depends on how tight security is at this library. Best to get directions to that dream section, unless we are talking about a section with several hundreds titles just on the topic of dreams.
And don’t forget to smooth your tail out, nothing says ‘up to something’ like a frizzed tail.
Explain your dream to her, it can’t hurt to let her know and maybe see what she can say about it.

I’ve had several IRL problems that unfortunately caused me to put CH on the backburner. However, I’m currently working on the page, and I’ll explain in more detail the reasons for the hiatus once I post it.
