You started having those nightmares long before your Papa started dating again. You don’t know why you get them, or why you are a child again in them, or who the “woman” in them is. It’s complicated. Hopefully you’ll find a book on dreams that will give you a rational explanation.

Sorry for the delays ! This month has been very busy. Between the holidays, preparing my brother’s marriage, preparing my future stay at a diet clinic, meeting with my ex-employer at the tribunal (hopefully for the last time)… I’ve had little spare time to work on Chimaera High.

So the dreams have been going on a while then? I still say it means you’re a closeted Lesbian because I would much prefer that to my alternative theory that you would very much hate and get frizzy tailed aand give me the death glare again. ( *whispers* Electra Complex!)
It’s actually more likely to be a repressed memory of the past. Weather it was of her parents, or of two other trusted individuals, we may not know.
Ask Miss Kiyori what she knows about dream interpretation. Working in a library, she may be read on the subject. You don’t have to tell her it’s for your dreams, say it’s for an essay.
Also i wonder how many libraries Abel is banned from? I thought it was just the SAIA library, but i stand corrected 🙂

Have you considered taking up yoga? It’d be a better release of all your anger then stress eating those candies. Also, why is your mom pink? Was she magical too?
Have you ever considered getting to know any of these women your father is dating? Jealousy is a natural reaction when you’ve been the only gal in your father’s life for so long, but from the sounds of things you’re on your way to an Elektra complex.
It needn’t be a sexual attraction. Children are as protective of their parents as they are of their siblings; it’s family. Any “outsider” has to overcome that before being accepted into the family. It’s as easy for a widow’s daughter to see her mother’s suitors as interlopers and tom-cats trying to usurp her deceased father’s rightful place as it is for what seems — on the surface, at least — to be what Alice is experiencing.
The time-line isn’t right, here, though. Alice’s parents were married for twenty years prior to her mom’s death three years ago, Alice is in her mid-teens, and she’s been having these nightmares since childhood. They’ve just been recurring more commonly, lately.
Her more recent evident anger and apparent jealousy about the women seeking to enter her Papa’s life makes sense in terms of a child who’s lost her parent, but those nightmares don’t. And even Alice recognizes, intellectually, at least, that her jealousy and anger are irrational and unreasonable in the circumstances (although she might need some help internalizing that rational thought and coming to accept it emotionally, but that’s a bit premature until her Papa gets serious about a relationship with one of his suitors, and, even there, time spent getting to know the woman who manages to catch his eye will do more to help Alice accept her and let go of the jealousy when the time comes.)
It’s the nightmares that are unusual, here, and that need to be dealt with. Alice’s protective instinct for her family is perfectly normal, and I’m confident it will resolve normally as she, her Papa, and some lovely woman grow to form a new family out of the tragedy that struck the old one.
(That’s “married for twenty years” according to “No Dissing Papa” (http://chimaerahigh.comicsbreak.com/prologue/no-dissing-papa), not the twelve years of happy marriage mentioned above. I think Alice is recalling the twelve years that she, her Papa, and her mom were a family, forgetting that her mom and Papa were married eight years before Alice was born. Twelve would be commensurate with Alice’s age when her mother died. An easy mistake to make, given that Alice is a bit upset at the time she asserts twelve years of marriage instead of twenty.)
Actually that’s a typo, she did mean twenty. I sometimes mix these two numbers for some reason.

Hopefully the books that you are looking for are not in a restricted area. Also what was your Mom like? Did she go to your school or somewhere else? What do you know about your Moms history?
